Hard drive for recording, will external work or internal is best

    Last one re the zgemma H7, will a HDD via an external caddy suffice for time shift and recording or should i open it up and install a HDD?

    Many people use external HDDs via USB on various boxes. In fact some makes don't take internal HDDs anyway. The main advantage is that internal a bit tidier, less cables. Less likely for things to accidentally unplugged and so on.

    Mine is in a media cabinet so should be safe

    I installed a 2.5 internal drive on my zgemma 7... simple and straight forward to do - check out the YouTube videos.. Definitely handy not having extra cables...
