Great opportunity to purchase a piece of racing history. This bike was ridden to 8th or 9th place in an A4 criterium in Mullingar 9-10 years ago - finishing a couple of places behind future Elite National Road Champion Damien Shaw in the process. This bike was put together as a winter bike in Siopa Rothar in Limerick using a mix of my own components and those that John had in the shop at the time so it's a real mix and match. Hasn't been used in years but has a number of scratches and the gears need servicing. Would suit somebody who is good with tools.

Ribble – 54cm 7005 Ultralite Racing Frame (steel) with carbon forks.
    105 brake levers
    105 Crankset
    Dura Ace brake calipers
    Ultegra front derailleur
    Shimano 600 rear derailleur
Mavic Aksium Wheels (not ones in photo)
    Fizik Aliante Saddle
    Keo Look pedals

Based in Limerick but work in Citywest so can deliver in Dublin.

    €120

Listen if you are really selling this for 120 I'll offer asking straight off (Dublin based).

    Rethink the price though............

If it fit me I would buy it for the advertising tag line, a piece of racing history, brilliant.

I've no idea what it's worth but all bikes these days seem to be carbon and disc brakes - I thought most people would turn their nose up at something like this! It is far from pristine and it's been gathering dust for years so you can have it at the asking.

Echo the sentiments here in that this is significantly underpriced. I have the same frame but badged as a ProLite and it is a very light frame and definitely not steel.

I know the old adage that it is only worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it but would have expected an asking price much closer to €200

With that in mind I will go next in line at €120 after Robfowl if you decide to proceed

Trying to send you a PM for the last few days but the PM function doesn't appear to be working. Will keep trying...

I have great memories of John and Siopa Rothar in Limerick. Such a pity they closed.

I think the frame is 7005 aluminium as opposed to steel.

Oops - I thought aluminium frames were considered steel? I hope it doesn't matter too much as it's just been collected. :o
