Just started yesterday when I had it reversed down a sloping drive.
    Never reversed it down before.
Parked it on flat over night, no further drips on road.
fair bit came out so not just a slow drip
edit: so on reflection I have concluded that the drips were stored in the plastic pan or whatever it is called under the engine and when I reversed it down it went out a hole in the pan.

Car engine compartment was immaculate when I bought it with 152k on it in July 2018 so this is new.
there is 185k kms on clock, engine oil and brake fluid oils all okay.
    See pics attached
    Thanks as always

Hard to tell really, looks like it's the drain or fill plug of the gearbox on the first picture all gunked up. Could be anything from a leaking sump plug, or engine sump gasket, main seal of the crank on gearbox side, list is endless really.

    Thanks.
Any feel for what it would cost to repair..
    Will more driving damage something?

It's one of those time consuming jobs, bottom needs to be thoroughly cleaned first if the leak is not apparent, then they'd have to reproduce it by driving. Am not up to date on repair costs in Ireland as I'm abroad. A simple copper washer and oil change would obviously cost much less than if the gearbox needs to be pulled to change the crank seal.

Keep an eye on your engine oil level to avoid damage, however gearbox oil is tricky if not impossible to measure.

Hard to tell from the photos, but not much leaks on them without human intervention.... Has it ever had a clutch? If so, 1/2 shaft oil seal prone to leaking. Sump nut loose? Oil filter leaking? Has someone had the rocker cover off for some reason?

Take the bottom covers away, wash the engine down and watch for fresh oil over a few days....

Unless it is leaking a significant amount of oil, as in you need to top it up occasionally, then fixing it might not really be worth the expense and hassle.

Thanks guys, I don't think it is the engine oil as its too far up and it's a clear oil.
Don't think clutch has been done, I bought it July 2018.

How can you top up the clutch or maybe gearbox oil?
