Ok so I have an old Win 7 Home laptop which I want to install Win10 on in time for January when the updates stop for 7. I'd rather keep my Win7 installation alongside Win10 just in case I run into issues.

I've partitioned the hardrive in two (C and X drives) and want to make a 1to1 copy of Win7 on X. From there, I'm hoping to do an upgrade to Win10 on X, while keeping Win7 intact on C.............

Is this possible and if so can anyone recommend good s/w for doing it? I can't seem to find an easy option, most websites are referring to the need to have a second physical drive to do this.
