Adding return flight to booking

I booked flights from Dublin to SFO a few days ago. Went to book the return flight just now and I see that it would have been much cheaper if I booked the return flight at the same time as the original flight (> €500 cheaper).

Long shot, but is there anything that I can do in this scenario? I rang the helpline to try and get the flight added to the existing booking but they said it wasn't possible. Cancelling the original flight would only refund me €75 so not much point in that.

    Any hope for me? 😂

Its pretty much always cheaper to book a return flight rather than two one ways. As your ticket isnt 100% refundable theres no much you can do about it other than stump up. You might find cheaper prices departing from Vegas buts its a fair trek there from San Fran so unlikely to work out much cheaper.

If it was with Aer Lingus, their fares are based on *as part as a round trip* . not much you can do about it except do more research for the next trip
