Is there much heat from replica fires?

If I was to put one where my fireplace is now, is there much heat from them?. Could you still sit to them and feel heat, similar to burning wood or coal? Thanks S

If I was to put one where my fireplace is now, is there much heat from them?. Could you still sit to them and feel heat, similar to burning wood or coal?

No comparison. A real fire creates atmosphere that is not replaceable.
