Medical Card...wife working/assessment

I am on IB/Continious payment and claim for my wife the QA part.
We do not have any other income and zero capital. We just own our fully paid house.
No mortgage,no rent, no childminding costs...practicaly nothing which could be used to claim as outgoings.
My wife wants to go out and work for one or two days per week to make some contributions for her state pension.
Can anyone tell me what happens to the medical card? At the moment we are assessed together and qualify for it.
If my wife takes up work, I will loose all or parts of her QA payment.
    Don't know her salary yet.
What will be the income limit for her to be still able to claim the medical card?
Will we still be assessed together for the card- or is a separate assessment for each of us possible?
And what happens to our son, who lives with us, has no income and is just 21? He qualifies for the MC just because I qualify. Will he be affected as well?
