power and corruption

What comes first?

Do corrupt people seek out power because it’s easier to pull a stroke. Once you have the power do you suddenly feel like you deserve whatever corruption you take.

Would you become the moderator of a forum be it football or say politics to push an agenda or once in power do you decide you should only hear your agenda.

I have no problem with mods anywhere it’s just an example.

Do you become high up in Irish football to do dodgey dealings? When you are there does the availability of easy money just become too tempting? Do you have to be corrupt to get to a certain level because everybody else is?

Are you an honest person who suddenly went mad with power and went corrupt or are you a corrupt person trying madly to get power to become corrupt. Did you ever get just a little bit of power and become corrupt with it.

I know a fella who after working in a big chain shop 4 two years was allowed with another two co workers he was friendly with close up the shop without any bosses being there. Within two weeks they were involved in a bit of petty theft of make up or after shave etc for personal use. Then they were selling small amounts. Then there was outside managers brought in to figure out where all the stock was going.

I suppose he was an innocent enough honest young chap that just had temptation put in front of him when he wasn’t ready to handle it.

Maybe there should be some sort of temptation test given to workers. Anyway
