hey! i'm looking at ordering pc parts from amazon for a build and would love your input. the spec is

    AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor £175.19
MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard £89.99
    Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory £68.06
Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive £91.90
PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Red Devil Video Card £399.95
Corsair Carbide Series 275R ATX Mid Tower Case £62.99
Corsair TXM Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply £72.97

Total: £963.04 (£970 delivered from amazon currently)

i'll be using it for just offline gaming at home on a big tv, so looking for best performance there. i want it to be fully VR compatible and ideally last on all games for like 4-5 years.

is there much/any benefit going for a better motherboard like a 570?
is there any benefit of a cooler other than stock, considering i won't be overclocking?
are there better manufacturers for that gpu? i looked at a 2070 super and it doesn't appear to have any real advantage for the additional +£50.
would that case need or benefit from additional fans?

any and all advice would be great, thanks!

For SSD I'd suggest spending a few more & get ADATA SX8200 Pro (£100) or Corsair MP510 (£105).

Motherboard should be fine, no point going higher with a 6-core Ryzen.
Better cooler (e.g. Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition, £23) will benefit the CPU as it can hold its boost clocks longer with auto-OC.
Red Devil is probably the best for £400 but you can also consider the Sapphire Nitro+ for £410 - check TPU temperature charts
The 275R stock fan setup is the best for it - only thing you can do is add better/quieter fans (e.g. 1x 140mm front).

    Thanks for the tips.

Are the alternate SSDs faster/more reliable or just better brand?

I think the cooler seems like a good idea, I'll add that in too.
