I am looking at getting a new tv for Christmas,
I currently have a 40" Sony but amdlooking for a 50" for another room.
Budget under €450 as it will only be used occasionaly

I read on another thread that the the LG 49UK6300PLB would have a satellite tuner built in as well as Saorview!

This was one I was looking at,
Also looked at this one > LG 49UM7400PLB

    Both are within budget,
Can you advise one over the other please?
    Thanks

    Hi Vectra.

Both are good televisions at their price point.

The 49UM7400 is from the newer range and also have a satellite tuner on board.

Currently in stock and ready to ship.

    Thanks for the swift reply,
would there be others within the price range that you may recommend over those two?

I also have a slight issue with an item I purchased from you some time back,
Should I message you or post here?
    Thank you

    Hi Vectra.

If it is a fault to report with a previous purchase you can email our service guys at Service@Richersounds.ie
They look after all our service issues.

You could perhaps look at the Philips 50PUS6554 priced at £349
    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-204189-philips-50pus6554-50-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-tv-freeview-play.aspx

Or the Samsung 50RU7020 priced at £379
    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-204401-samsung-ue50ru7020-50-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-tv-with-apple-tv-app.aspx

Neither of these have a satellite tuner.

    Hi Kenny.
It appears to be a slight fault, I will email support shortly, thanks.

I forgot to ask, do all of those TV's work on the Irish system?
I think they need DVB-T ? ( Freeview hd maybe?) I am unsure.

And of the above 4, which would you go for?
Looking at them and where it will be installed on a unit, the legs on the LG would suit better but need to do some measuring.
    Thanks again

    Hey Vectra.

Yes all of the TV's mentioned will work no problem in the South of Ireland and pick up Saorview.

Either the LG UM or Samsung would be the ones to go for.
I could also offer the next in the range of Samsung the 50RU7100 at the same price as the 50RU7020 - It has a slightly different stand but they are still feet rather than a central base.

Thanks again Kenny for being so helpful,
I think I may be edging towards the LG 49UM7400PLB for the reasons below

    Stand looks perfectly suited
    Freeview hd
    Built in Freesat
    and airplay2

But the main thing would be
which has the best picture and sound.
    Decisions decisions.

    Hey Vectra.

Great news its arrived with no issues.

I'll pop a note on your account to say its a Christmas present and any returns/issues you will then have from Christmas day to report them.
