    Hi all,

Have a budget of EUR600 for a Gaming PC for one of the kids (appreciate it's not going to get too much).

Can anyone suggest what's the best PC I can get for that? Are there any companies that offer pre-built as opposed to building it myself?

It'll be cheaper to build yourself: Works out roughly as €601

Upgrade the PSU to either Corsair VS or be quiet System Power 9.
Otherwise that's a fine budget machine.

i think it is a fine machine as it is. no harm for 9 pounds to go to the 2600x. the psu isn't great but it's fine, not gonna blow up or anything.

    Many thanks for your advice.
Hopefully they knock a few pounds off over the weekend!

I'm no expert ... but I have read that SSD is better than HDD which this has ... but perhaps that's reflected in the price.

Bizzarely the CCL Stryker PC that I was looking at has increased from £507 last night to £533 today! Unless it's some gimmick to knock a percentage off on Cyber Monday.

Just an update to say that I did buy the CCL Customised Stryker PC mentioned above for my sons Xmas present.
It didn't work when setup on Xmas day which resulted in a lot of disappointment.
There was some signs of damage so it probably got dropped during delivery (by DPD).
CCL were good at arranging collection and repairing damaged parts.

It all works fine now and my son, and his friends, are impressed.

The shpeel on both of these is wrong though? It says a quad core cpu and a 590 GPU then the specs say hexacore cpu and 580 gpu. Also the picture has top end RGB ram while they say themselves below you're getting green value ram sticks.

It's minor enough but that kind of lack of attention to detail, along with the lack of care in delivering the poster above's PC, would be enough to put me off...

You are incorrect, I gave links to customized-from-base builds.

What am I incorrect about? I just clicked on the Link...

    CCL Delta Pro Gaming PC

With this PC you can expect to get best value for money, not only is it boasting a 3.6GHz quad core CPU, you will also find a 8GB 590 graphics card installed. With the 590 being great for all the latest gaming titles, you won't be suffering lag when getting your 1080p game on!
Customised CCL Delta Pro Gaming PC
    £539.99
    or £639.99 with Windows 10

    Customised Delta Pro PC

    CPU
    AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz

    RAM
    8GB DDR4 2400MHz

    Graphics
    Radeon RX 580 8GB

    Storage
480GB Kingston A400 SATA III SSD

It's all contradictory nonsense. Also do they look like Value Ram stick in the picture at the link?

The text is for the original spec of the PC listed. KoKiki made some changes to that original spec to get the build in line with the OPs budget.

The wall of text at the top of product page does not change when the spec of the PC is altered.

Not really a big deal. They have incorrect information in the blurb but it's correctly listed in the actual spec sheet and under the 'customize this pc' options. Websites do make mistakes from time to time. This is probably because at one point it had a different base config like Ryzen 1500X/Intel 7500 and RX590 or something like this until they balanced it differently.

You can also pay extra to get the RGB ram in the build under the 'customize this pc' options.

I think it is making a bit of a deal over nothing really. Contradictory nonsense seems a bit OTT.

I don't know, people shop with their eyes and most people who buy pre-built PCs aren't going to know the difference between any of these things. I'd like to think it's an innocent mistake but marketing departments will usually say anything to sell their products.

It's not an enormous deal to me, I wouldn't be a likely customer anyway, but if I ordered that PC off them and it looked nothing like the one in the pic I wouldn't be overjoyed.
