ive xeon 1240 v3 haswell cpu 3.8ghz quad core, but my gpu is like 8 years old by now, 550ti. Not mad on gaming but any advice what card would be best to still get some play out of new titles on hd resolution.

as wont be upgrading cpu, and dont want to get some overkill card that will bottleneck, thinking maybe 1660 OC/ti 6gb maybe smth closer to 200e that wouldnt be wasted by cpu limits, and still would provide some future proofing for couple years.

Get an RX 580 / RX 590 8Gb - Sapphire / Asus are best, avoid XFX.

Alternatively, buy on used market - RX 580 8Gb or GTX 1060 6Gb.
RX 480 8Gb also worth a shot if you can find them for cheap with a decent cooler.

there are some good deals on rx cards now, overclockers have a 590 for £150. You could consider the new 1650 super as well, bit slower but cooler and quieter for the same price. the 590 is a bit faster and comes with free games right now, so the overall value is good. i think if you are willing to stretch, the 1660 super is a really great card. your cpu is ok for any of those cards.

any amazon links or deals to watch out maybe for cyber monday?- purely for warranty or other issues as its easy to return or deal with them, for super 1060, and which brand would be best ? im a bit of MSI fan, but then again tech companies improve all the time and most brands seem decent nowadays.

There is no 1060 Super - did you mean 1650 Super?
Be aware that the regular 1650 is terrible.

As for availability, they seem to be still out-of-stock in most places, e.g. CaseKing is listing availability from 28./29. November (Gigabyte Windforce,
    EVGA SC Ultra).
Found a Zotac dual-fan for £150 on CCL but I doubt it's a good cooler.

thx K.o.kiki, yeah was a bit confused searching for super 1060 and nothing showed up. out of interrest whats causing shortage is it miners, or just new card to the market ? and what does it retail for the 1650super ?

as got about 300e to spare but also need ssd drive at least 500gb to fit in that budget.

1650 Super was only released 4 days ago.

    Lookin on Amazon today:

GTX 1650 Super: (no stock - should be €160-190)
    GTX 1660: €232
    GTX 1660 Super: €256

480-512Gb SSDs are currently just under €50 from most sellers, though people seem to have hoovered them up on Amazon.
