Installing an EV charging station in an apartment complex

    Hi,

Has anyone installed a charge point in an apartment complex?

I live in a 10 unit duplex/GF apartment block with an external private car park. Individual car parking spaces are not assigned to each individual apartment and people park where they want based on a first come, first serve basis.

There are no parking spaces in front of my apartment so if i was to install a charge point on my wall the lead for the cable would have to cross the main car park thoroughfare to where the vehicle would be parked. I don't think this would be feasible so the only other option that I can see is to get a specific parking space assigned to me and install a pedestal charger locally - this would have to be agreed with the management company.

Anybody out there with a similar set up? Did it cost an arm & a leg or are there any grants available to ease the pain?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
