Donnacha has announced his retirement from riding and will go into training with a small band of horses for next year.

Oisin Murphy to get the ballydoyle gig?

No chance, Murphy isn't a better jockey then seamie who deserves his chance at the top spot

I am happy he retired, and I was happy Joseph retired.
Being about six foot tall and keeping to nine stone must be torture, and bad for the mind. Next time we see him he will be over eleven stone.
    Enjoy your Christmas dinner, Donnacha.
    Well played, boy.

Well Ryan Moore is still there so the gig is his to lose. Would like to see Wayne Lordan get the #1 spot though.

Maybe its jsut me, or my waning interest in the flat, but i'm not convinced by Murphy. I think Colin Keane is in with a shout too if they shake things up.

He may or may not pass over Lordan but he has passed over Heffernan many, many times. He will never get the top job.

There is no chance the lads that are there already get the job. Seamie has been there for how long and has always been passed over. He isnt getting any better so he wont get it.

Lordan is a decent jockey but he will be riding more for Joseph next season.

He was a very decent jockey. I'll miss him on the O'Brien horses where his no-nonsense style of racing was a joy to deal with in comparison to Moore's Jekyll and Hyde efforts.
