Hi all. Been gone for a while from this actually so hope everyone is keeping well!

Anyway have the bull with 8ladies due to calf in December. Just saw him there try to bull one....Now she still looks heavy in calf and I didn’t have any concerns about her but should I be worried now?

You can also have cows that will have false heats, I had a pbr cow that would would as bulling even though she would calve a few days later, used to do my head in. Are the cows scanned?

Cows are scanned (from a few months back) and she looks heavy in calf-didn’t stop to see if there was a calf moving but the bull was full on up on top of her. I’m now worried he might hurt her but it will be v awkward to separate them....
I have notice the bull being more interested in cows when they are close to calving for some reason-often wondered if he could smell a change in her hormones. Hopefully It’s just a false heat-didn’t know it could happen as close to calving.

If she’s scanned in calf, she most likely is. There’s not a whole pile can be done about it if she’s slipped the calf and thinking about the negatives that might be will do absolutely nothing.
It’s probably been a while since the poor auld bull got a jump and he might be just checking it still works.

Update she aborted last night 😡.what she aborted doesn’t look right for the size it should have been as well so something wasn’t right. Bull obviously sensed something or helped it progress I don’t know but something must have triggered him. Now to decide wether to keep or cull the cow

Always cull cow even if she is a good one , she could end up doing the
same thing again next year , which would leave it an even bigger waste of time
    than it already is
