Would it be worth having a thread with prices for ration?

I know it's a bit early for most but we're lambing early this year so I'm looking for ration at the moment.

Spoke to Quinns-Baltinglass yesterday and they're 297 euro for a ton of 20% super-ewe. That's for loose ration (not cube/nut), in small bags, delivered to our yard.

Sounds good price delivered, that 20% from Quinns is good stuff I find.

Sounds great value, must have a look, their local branch is only ten miles from here

Though not a ration, I priced up small bags of oats recently in liffey mills, for carrying ewes etc over the winter. €4.70 a 20kg bag or €235 a tonne ,when buying in small bags. Find them a cheap convenient option of feeding sheep when silage ain't available.

€270 /ton for 20% nuts, HE with high levels of maize, soya meal , beet pulp , barley rape seed, ( maize is the main ingred. not sure of the following order)

delivered in bulk in 7 ton loads , with 120 days interest free credit.

millers seems hungry for orders, literally name your terms.

There is a a big fear this year cattle ration will be down due to less fattening cattle. Next time strikes happen a few more of them might lend their support.

Any good for dry hoggets, didn’t get a field of stubble turnips in for them this year as to dry (hard believe today) and was thinking oats might keep them tipping along

I used a good bit of it here last year and was very happy with it. They seemed to be very healthy from it. I used to also get a small bag of maize meal as well and sprinkle it over it the odd time. It didn't do them any harm either.

With all the overage cattle still on farms as a result of the strike there should still be a good demand for feed
