sadly no , i've found this old thread here (i couldn't add a url because i'm new boards user) but i couldn't use those settings because it looks like it is for a different vodafone modem/router and not the gigabox they issued me with ,

I'm off today and that gigabox is SIRO ie FTTH read here and it shows how to use a better router ie ditch the gigabox

the router i'm trying to use is a tp link archer c2. and it doesnt have an option to change vlan, this is why i thought i could use both devices. do you reckon i still could use the tp link on it's own ! if not i dont mind using it with the vodafone gigabox .

i have set up the tplink as repeater, this is what i did:

i have disabled dhcp in the tp link router
gave the tplink a different ip.
set up the wifi in the tplink
disabled the wifi in vodafone gigabox
connected both routers through the lan ports

everything is working , wifi is stable for the time being ,transfer rates are higher using the tplink.
i don't understand the difference between bridge mode and this set up , but for so far this seems to do the job .
