W204 C220 CDI 2008 auto lights

There's an option for auto lights on my c220. Lights come on at dusk and off when it's bright, that's fine.

I was wondering if there's a way to have lights on automatically, parking or dim, during the day.

Any googling I've done shows models with 12 button multi function steering wheel, mine is just 4. The online manual I found gives instructions but the menu it directs to isn't there on my car.

It's not a big issue if I've to turn them on myself manually but if there is an auto on during the day it'd be handy. Any ideas or does anyone have any experience with this model car?

Yeah, that occured to me. Are they easy to dismantle to get at it with some tape?

If the car has a infotainment screen go to the settings and there is an option to have day time running lights. It's there for mine. It's a 2102 c220.

When I go to system the only option is for Bluetooth and the screen brightness. I think it's called a COMAND unit and looks like the unit in the link below, that has the 12 button steering wheel though, mine has 4.

Maybe it's an optional extra, it runs these lights during the day and then when dusk comes they go off and dipped lights come on. But I,ve noticed there are no rear lnights on during the day only front bottom lights. Wi take picture of the COMAND Unit later.
