    Currect pc specs:
    Gpu: ATI Radeon HD 5870
    Cpu: Intel Core i7 930
    Ram: 6gb DDR3
    Board: Asus P6T Deluxe v2
HDD: 128gb SSD for operating system, and 3x 1tb HDD in raid for storage.

Am looking to upgrade for the following reasons.

I play a lot of Xplane and FSX and the fps is not great and generally a bit jumpy on decent resolutions. I will certainly be playing Flight Sim 2020 when it is released next year.

I do a bit of video editing with Davinci resolve.

I suppose at this stage my ram is quite old compared to new ram on the market and need a spruce up.

I would love to speed up my USB transfer capabilities as my max at the moment is USB 2.0. I do a lot of transferring video files from usb flash drives to external HDD etc.

Would I need to upgrade the motherboard or could I upgrade all of the above with my current one?

I will keep the 3 x 1tb HDD's for general storage of movies etc.

Thanks for any suggestions and advice.
