Hi all i'm currently out of contract and all the providers packages seem to only have ATR no mention of RUK has anyone got RUK in a package or is it just available as an add on if so has anyone come across any deals yet for this Black Friday. As far as I'm aware they were offering discounts for it last year.

I'm not aware of the deal yet . No doubt someone will post it here on Black Friday. I took it last year for €12 a month . I found it great value . My year is up now but I don't feel like paying €31 a month . Any ideas on a negotiating strategy?

No I'm out of contract a couple of weeks was hoping that at least one of the suppliers would come up with a deal this Black Friday for the Irish racing enthusiasts. I have no intention either of paying €31/month for it.

Don't forget to add in the €15 phone call charge when you wait on hold for a couple of hours or more to sign up and then again when you go to cancel. Robbin Baastards.

I think to get access to all the top racing over here and in the UK at € 1 a day it is a steel.

I am sure there are deals out there that will make it cheaper. Shop around.

In saying all that I got by last year without having coverage. If you back you horse on line you can watch the race on your phone. I have subscribed to their youtube channel so I get their Sunday show and highlights posted on their you tube channel.

By the time you buy a subscription to the Racing Post and the Irish Field you can be into well over € 1,000 a year on subs alone. Pricey enough, but if you want to have all the accoutrements at your disposal to enjoy your racing....

Don't forget that you get free racing on RTE and ITV also. Not forgetting Líos Tuathaill on TG4:)

If you are mad keen to watch a few races get your arse down to your local and have a few fivers on the races and enjoy a few pints. There is nothing wrong with getting off the couch once in a while.

Ring them and I'd be fairly confident they'll give you at least 4 months for the €12 p/m. I've had RUK/Racing TV for years and never once paid more than €12 a month for it.

Good man, I am in the same boat and was wondering the same. I was going to ring then later. A load of people signed up last January, they had the 12/month offer running for the Dublin racing festival

Trying to sign up online but getting message that my SKY viewing card is invalid despite it being correct. Any idea how to fix it?

On hold on phone and chat but not holding out hope to speak to anyone.

52 mins on hold on both. Get through to chat but it disconnects when I try to add payment method as suggested and get sent to back of queue.

Maybe it is a sign to keep my money.

It sounds like someone in the Marketing department is about to get an awful bollickin.

    £ 12 a month v £ 31 a month sounds like a huge deal.

" turn that phuckking website off and get me the head of marketing right now "

It's a racket, they force you to phone them and after about 2 hours on hold you will get signed up.

Why can't they just charge 15e a month and cut the BS. Reminds me of how AOL used to operate years ago. Horrible business practices.

I gave up and messaged them on Twitter to call me which they did and signed up now fine.

Suggest that approach, should still honour offer if you explain that you had issues.
