Anyone notice what look like cameras attached to bridges on the M8 in County Cork?

The ones on the Glanmire bypass? They look temporary, are they for traffic monitoring in advance of Dunkettle roadworks?

    Yeah I spotted them.
    Sets before and after Fermoy.

I wonder are they for survey as there are still loads of cars and trucks going through Fermoy, maybe trying to see how many are avoiding the toll???

Most likely they're for the Real Time Traveltime project on the N40 and approaches, similar to what they have on the M50.
