Air Quality Sensors in Open Air Public Locations

    Hi,

    I am wondering are there any legal requirements I have to meet before installing a PM-2.5/PM10 sensor beside Slane Hill, in Co. Meath?

    The setup will be a small solar panel, a Raspberry Pi and an SSD, all secured in a water proof box.

    How would it be secured against theft?
    Solar panels won't run a raspberry pi for very long in winter, even with batteries I had serious problems maintaining decent uptimes for a time lapse camera for a house build.

    Why rpi? Considered lorawan or similar? Anything which can be put into a deep sleep like an Arduino or esp chip would get you much better battery life. Rpis consume too much power just sitting there.

    I am not a lawyer, but something on that scale shouldn't require more than permission of the property owner.
