360 digger ticket

    Hi folks,
    Looking to get the ticket for a digger. Have some experience with them tipping about on the farm etc. What’s the best way to go about getting the ticket? I don’t have 6 months experience driving for somebody. So what is the best way around this? Any opinions or experience in this greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Sure didn't you do a few months work around the place for the neighbours. I'm sure they will sign a bit of paper to say Oscar worked here for a month.

    I don’t think you need six months experience.

    As far as I know you don’t have to be sh1t hot to pass the test. It’s just a training course, you have to demonstrate that you understand the safety aspect and can operate the machine safely.
    The course should not be aimed at experienced operators, it should be aimed at learning and showing they understood. It should be aimed at inexperienced operators, to ensure they have the knowledge to work safely, it that makes sense.

    where do you go for one of these tickets and how much do they cost? do they expire?

    Hynes quinn driving school in Longford if your anywhere near that do the full construction related cscs tickets. my understanding is there is no expiry on them as such. more along the lines of a renewal of the card i.d after 5 years.

    €400 odd cost depending on the machine your getting it for. as for relevant experience if you know someone one would vouch for your experience of 6months and be prepared to put their name on a form, you would get this form from whom ever would be doing you test.
