Car is due an NCT in March 2020 when it will be 10 years old. Date of first registration is 25/03/2010.

Booked the test in today. Its greater than 90 days and car will be 9 years old. Car will be between 4 and 9 years, 9 months old. Is my understanding that if the car passes it will get a 2 year NCT?

Good stuff. A 2 year test would help!

It’s a no-brainer. You’re effectively getting 8mths more test doing it this way.

Car has just had a major service so makes sense to do it now.
