Measuring a radiator

I need to replace a radiator as the bleed valve is rounded and I can’t get the f@@ker off. I took it off the wall and it just won’t budge. Away I measured from end to end and got 1720x 600 it’s a steel rad. Did I measure right ? Do you measure from valve to valve or edge to edge like I did.
