I've a heat genie installed that has never worked. The safety kicks in and pumps cold water down the drain for a hour while I run out the back with a load of flaming logs :D

I've found one expert that said it's probably the stat faulty or on the wrong pipe so it doesn't pump the hot water when it gets to 50 degrees.

Plus he said the cold water safety should be from the mains supply and not from an electric pump since the no. 1 reason for over heating is a power cut.

This expert I spoke to is not available anytime soon.

Any recommendations for a heat genie pumbler "grand master"?
