I ordered a Gomo Sim thinking it would arrive before my current Eir 28 day term expired. It didnt and I had to buy another 28 day €20 with Eir. When the Gomo Sim arrived I asked Gomo via facebook when did their 28 days start counting down thinking it would be when I put the sim in my phone but they finally replied on FB today stating the 28 days starts when the sim is delivered. They also said that You are billed on the 1st of the following month for that month in advance. Does this mean that you do not get the full month for the first €10? ie if your sim arrives in the middle of the month you are charged again on the 1st of the following month and You only get 2 weeks for the first €10?

The 9.99 activation fee is to cover any period mid month to the end of that month. You will be billed then on the 1st of the following month with the bill arriving afterwards.

But You are charged €20 initially when you buy the sim. €10 activation fee and €10 for the first month.

That wasn't my experience. I ordered the sim on 15 Oct and paid E9.99 activation fee. I was then billed E9.99 on 01 Nov for the month of November.

Do you need to have a sim free phone or will it work in an eir phone?

Nope. That’s not correct. Be careful you didn’t order two sims in error. If you did then you’ll pay two €9.99 subscriptions every month. Your first payment is definitely only €9.99 activation. I’ve done it 4 times.

Ah that’s good. Would have been a pain to cancel

they seem to be slowing the sending of the sim so you can't cancel within your cooling off period, it's already passed by the time you get the sim!

Nope, my second bill was €10.07. If you look on My Gomo it will give you the full bill PDF, what were your additional charges for?
