VPN at a router level?

Is it possible to use VPN at a router level without too much expense?

On virgin media with a google WiFi mesh.

    All working grand.

Don’t mind spending a little to change the router if that needs to be done.

What would I need to do? Do I need to replace the hub 3 & if so, what are people’s recommendations? Can the hub 3 be adapted to use a vpn? If so, can someone point me to a reputable howto?

Is there any benefit to it apart from being able to access US (or other) based services that might otherwise be geolocked?

    Thanks in advance

    Cant replace the Hub.

You'd need to bridge it to an IPSec/similar router and then connect that to a compatible VPN service. And you'd cut your 360Mb down to 10 or 20Mb.
