which bike for under a grand

    Hey guys, looking to get a commuter / longer spin machine.


    Preferably with disc brakes (hydraulic if possible)


    Love the idea of the gravel bikes.


    What you lot recommend?

    You'll find it hard to get hydraulic brakes at under a grand.

    Looking at a decathlon gravel bike aswell seems decent spec.

    I'll admit I'm slightly confused hydraulics seem to be easier to come by on hybrids, slightly confusing the thought process. Looking at doing a round trip out of swords to city centre

    Hydraulics for flat bars are cheaper than mechanical brakes. Unfortunately with dropbars were not there yet...

    Bargain of the century here and would suit your needs perfectly but limited sizes available, 51cm 54cm and 60cm

    Shipping is €56 but your still under budget at €850 all in. I have the VR30 and it’s a cracking bike, highly recommended.

    Thats a great deal alright, any idea if the max tyre clearance, can't seem to see it?

    They’ll take up to 35mm tyres.
