Used Santa Fe

Looking for some advice on buying a used Santa Fe. I've to drive on some fairly bad roads on my commute so I'm thinking that an SUV might be a good idea as my Jetta isn't taking it too well and I'm getting punctures on potholes.

Diesel is covered by work so fuel economy isn't a concern but the main things in looking for are reliability and running costs. I had an i30 before and found it to be good on both.

I am somewhat restricted in that my licence is automatic only but I set a fair few of them for sale in around 3-4k.

Has anyone experience with a Santa Fe's here? It's the 2.2 diesel I'm looking at getting but I'm open to suggestions for suitable alternatives.

    Thanks in advance.

Just curious as I saw your other thread. What size tyres are on the Jetta?

The Santa Fe can be hit or miss. A relative has one for years that does regular trailer work (large cow box) and it hasn’t had a bother. Whereas I’ve seen many with terminal engine failure.

    Thanks for the info.
