I have an eunos roadster s special type 1 that I've babied for the past two and a half years but my situation is I took the car to an mx5 specialist in the UK and got them to turbo charge the engine which cost me a big chunk of money.
Apart from a turbo back custom exhaust the car is bone stock, how it left the factory.

I now fancy a different car and I'm unsure whats the best route for my car. Advertise it as is or return to stock and sell the turbo parts. This car is a limited edition and only 2k we're made not sure if that matters

Please don't take this post as a for sale add it truly is not and it will be some time before the ball starts rolling. I'm just looking for advise

You think so, I don't know why I think the market for these cars is not popular.

Advertise it as is. It'll sell if the price is right. If you don't get what you're looking for, then you can go to the effort of returning it to stock.

I have agreed with the company that installed the kit that they will return it to stock as I'm going to the UK in May amwya.

    Cool car
I rekon if you can keep it until next summer (if we get one!), sell it then. Selling a convertible in good weather would be easier i would think, although i suppose that wouldnt matter to someone who really wants one.

Ya I'd see the sun bring an extra few euro my way. Perfect car for the weather.

In that case, I guess it depends on how soon you want to sell it. I'd still advertise it as-is first to get an idea of how much you'll get for it without removing the kit. Great car BTW.

I would say as long as the work was carried out by a reputable modifier and you have the paperwork to confirm it I'd advertise it as is.

I hear of a good few people buying old mx5s and usually supercharging them to keep a more stock feeling liner power delivery but I'm sure there are still plenty who turbocharge them too and you might get more for the car.

It might be worth while noting on the add that it can be removed if necessary and maybe advertise in the UK too and on the likes of pistonheads where you would see more of a market for modified cars.

Great looking car, I'd love one but unfortunately my accountant says otherwise :-(

How much are you looking for it?
    Who did the conversion?
What mileage is on it, tax, nct etc ?
looks nice, drove a standard one and it was fun, a test drive in yours should seal the deal.

Thanks a million, this car is just brilliant. Roof down going through the B roads exhaust pop/banging turbo whistling and chattering lol its simply perfect. But I fancy a change.

Ya that probably a good idea to advertise if and see what the market replies with. Ya UK wouldn't be a bad idea.

Work carried out by: http://mtechautomotive.co.uk/ at a cost of €6k. I have about 50 receipts dating back as far as 2008 with the biggest receipt from mtech automotive.

Turbo VS S/C, quite simply bang for buck plus the TD04 has a split second of lag two blinks and woosh fuil boost.

    Spec
    1.6
    230BHP
    230NM
    114K KM's
    Tax till DEC
    NCT till May (IIRC)

    Price €8,000
