Aldi Airless Paint sprayer - no pressure

Hi, just wondering if anyone has an Aldi airless paint sprayer (or any other than might work the same way). We bought one and followed all the instructions but it has no pressure at all - tried to prime using water as per instructions, ran it for a minute as per instructions to build pressure, nothing. After re reading everything about six times and watching about six Youtube videos still nothing so took it back to swap for another thinking it wasn't working.
However the new one exactly the same. Wondering if we must have missed something. Is there something we haven't switched on, some cap that should be taken off that isn't mentioned in the set up instructions? Thanks for any tips.

    Can take some photos tomorrow.
It turns on, runs, you put the tube in the water, put the waste tube in a waste tub, turn knobs to prime - it runs but nothing happens, it is supposed to draw up the water and it runs through and out the waste tube. It says to run for about 60 seconds to prime it. Absolutely nothing.
Turned it off, checked all settings and connections, tried again, nothing.

Wondered if it had air in it - troubleshooting said to unlock and pull the trigger on the gun for 10 seconds. Done that, nothing. Engine just runs but nothing happens.

Stupid question, have you the right tube in the water?

Never a stupid question - but yes - the one with the filter thing on the end of it - the big tube - the little one being the waste tube.

Read several reviews of this paint sprayer - several say it is excellent, found one who said it didn't work, no pressure at all. Another that said the manual was double dutch... Seems fairly clear but just can't help thinking we have missed something (husband who is usually good at these things - and me who reads every word of every manual)..

. If the suction pipe disconnects ( I'm assuming it does), there should be a ball bearing sitting in a hole at the top. Just have a look to see if this isn't stuck. Also, there should be a switch somewhere to switch the pressure from the prime tube ( what you called waste tube) to the gun ( and vice versa). Maybe, this hasn't been switched to prime?
