Alarm in Scirocco going off randomly

I have had 2 separate incidents with a ’12 Scirocco in the past week where the alarm has gone off when it was locked and parked up.

The first incident was in the middle of the night when it was parked for about 4 or 5 hours.

The second was this morning, 10 minutes after I parked it at work.

This is the first time that this has happened in the year that I have owned it.

    Is this:

    A) Something that I could possibly fix myself?
    B) Something any mechanic or electrical mechanic could fix?
    C) Something I’d need to go to a VW specialist about?

You need to scan the car to see what's causing the alarm e.g does it think there's movement in the car (faulty motion sensor) does it think a door has been opened ( faulty door lock).

    Where are you based ?

Miles away from me, best thing is to find someone close with VCDS that can scan the car and see what's what.

Are these prone for water drains getting blocked and the car filling with water?
