Road tubes for measuring traffic

Does anyone know where I could find statistics on traffic where a road tube was used? There's a main road near me that had it installed last year and I'm curious to know the statistics. Are these shared with the public?

Depends who put it in and why

If its for a planning application the figures will be in the docs for the application when it goes in; ditto if for a Part 8 road project or similar

Council website may have figures from ones put in for transport planning

Transport Infrastructure Ireland have a traffic count data website if that's of help, it might have your nearby road on it.

Cheers for the info. I'm not sure why it was put there, but the road is in an atrocious condition and traffic is getting heavier, so it would be useful to have some stats so I can push the council to do something about it.

Sending in an FOI request is your best bet if you think the council may have carried it out. If a national road send FOI request to TII also.

If a private applicant had it carried out in order to inform a traffic assessment for a planning application have a look at the council planning website to see if there are any recent large scale development applications and check the submitted documents.

The other option would be to enquire directly from traffic survey companies? NDC is one off the top of my head
