Gestational diabetes test in the Coombe

Hi. My wife is 24 weeks along but hasn't yet been offered a test for gestational diabetes, and her next hospital appointment isn't until December.

Does anyone know whether this is given as standard in the Coombe, or is it just offered to high risk mothers?

We've no reason to suspect that she's high risk.

It's not offered as standard afaik - usually offered where there is a family history of diabetes or if the expectant mother has a high BMI.

Some hospitals do it as standard, many don't unless you are over a certain age or there are risk factors.
