Hi , I have to bring my car to the nct centre in the morning , the car was serviced recently , but I discovered this evening that the third stop light, on the back window stopped working , bulb seemed fine but I put in a new one just in case , but still not working . probably a wiring problem, I'm thinking of just taking this third light out to pass and fix the problem later as I understand 2 working stop lights at the rear , left and right is the legal requirement. Will they pass me ye think ?
Or can I just blank it with black tape to pass if I can't sort it before I go ?

If it fails on that then retest should only be a visual so no charge - just have to return to some test center.
Not sure about taping it up ; I taped up front fog lights and no mention of it in test ; mustn't be a legal requirement .
Could be the same for high level brake light - not sure .
