    Hi,

If an EU citizen was to come to Ireland at the start of October, would they be entitled to the full personal/PAYE tax credits, SRCOP and USC bands or would they only get 3/4 the typical amounts?

Assuming they earned €11,000 in those 3 months, would it mean that they wouldn't be paying PAYE or USC in that time?

It's been a few years since I've dealt with brand new to the country employees so I wanted to ask here. I was sure they got the full amount but then doubt crept in...

    Thanks,
    Brianomc

yeah AFAIK the allowances and credits are annual. Depending on how the payroll works they may still get taxed but if they're under the thresholds at the end of the year they'll be able to claim it back.
