    Hi there
Going to an event in the Olympia in a few weeks and looking to get something to eat before hand somewhere near the venue as we dont know Dublin at all :o

We would like something casual / Not too fancy and there will be one person with us who cant have gluten

    Can anyone recommend somewhere please?

Might be *too* casual, but if ye like fish and chips, Beshoffs on Dame Street have a gluten free menu - there's a sit down section in that branch.

Umi falafel is just across the road it's friendly, cheap and the food is delicious. It's vegetarian but so tasty you won't even miss the meat.

Umi would be my recommendation too, delicious! Sano pizza another good one nearby, and serves alcohol if you want a tipple with your dinner.

You have a pretty much endless option on Georges St.

A two minute walk from the Olympia will offer you any amount of variety.

Five Guys ... amaaaaazing ... you haven't lived till you've experienced it! Only about 5 minutes away from the Olympia, plenty of other nice spots on George's Street too.

Yep, practically in the heart of the city with George's street, temple bar, Grafton St etc. all within spitting distance. You're spoiled for choice, really.

Best pizza i had in Ireland is in the place just next to Olimpia Forno 500 highly recommend if you like Napoli style pizza. If you like domino/Apache then disregard this suggestion.

ps Milanos are in Temple Bar and do gluten free pizzas, casual dining but not going to get the superlative reviews of other restaurants noted.

Milanos very overpriced compared to what's around e.g. Sano, Forno 500, etc...

Checked this out and I have to say im very pleased with this.
Can get the burger in lettuce wrap or in a "bowl"

Delighted that their actual burger doesnt have gluten in it as many do.

They use a separate grill for the buns and burgers in Five Guys

Their website even says they dont mind if someone wants to bring their own gluten free bun in - they cant toast it but thats understandable

    Chips are gluten free also

    Success!

Could not get the restaurant we wanted all booked out on a Tuesday night, so random selection we went to a place called Crow street on Crow street and it was really excellent two courses for 19 something with beef short ribs and seabass on it.

Its properly chef food, as opposed to assembled food and the dessert portions, were massive.

It would be a about a five-minute walk from the Olympia.

It is a bit overpriced but they have more or less permanent offers on like 2 courses for 15 euro or 3 courses for 18 euro. Dont think Ive ever paid full price there.
