    That is bad for shop bettors. The less competition there is the bigger the overround the bookies can factor into their odds. Ladbrokes offer worse odds to their shop bettors for example as its a different company to the website and the cashiers either through direction from management or laziness try to direct football bettors to the machines where the odds are even worse again. I don't think the average shop bettor is aware or cares that much so the other bookmakers could do the same.

    The Paddy Power shop in Rathmines Dublin has 12 machines.
    Only a matter of time before the shops are staffed by machines and no humans.
