The discussion with Moya Doherty on the Marian Finucane show today spoke volumes about the problems in RTE . The arrogance, lack of awareness and sense of self importance is mind boggling . The constant complaining about lack of resources and lack of appreciation by the public of all they do. Their mantra is public service broadcasting, if thats so, how can they squander money on the likes of Francis Brennan , or Dermot Bannon, or the many other programmes which are as likely to be made by an independent broadcaster . Im sure if some of the independent broadcasters had access to some of the license fee money, there should not be an issue in attaching the availibilty of these funds with a commitment to making public service programming
