I wont go mad with details in this opening post.
I am pretty much clueless regarding visas to USA.
I have done a small bit of research.
The Greencard is the obvious option but thats by all accounts a hit and hope option so isn't one that seems relevant? I have quite a few cousins/uncle/aunt in America, all legal of course, some who are in construction, can this be used as an option for entry?

I have seen a visa called the HB1 or something like that but seems more relevant to high end roles. What other options are there for legal entry to US?

Are you a regular electrician ie standard household, cabling etc, or industrial ie factory?

    Hi OP
For a H1B you have to be sponsored by a US employer you cannot apply yourself.
So the best advice there is to go searching for job adds for electricians in whatever part of the US you would like to move to and start getting in contact with the employers.
Tell them your story and see if any will be willing to apply for the H1B for you.

It's a total and utter long shotas many will not even have a clue what you are on about, but hey there may be one there that has done it before, or has knowledge about it and would be willing to do it.
And if you do find someone to sponsor you then the H1B is not guaranteed, as it's over subscribed and thus a lottery.
You could try it but I cannot stress enough how much of a long shot it is.

Alternatively you could apply for next year's gree card lottery, that too is a long shot but less of a one than the H1B.

Finally you could marry an American citizen.
Other than having a parent as a citizen and you being registered prior to turning 18 marriage is the only family based option I believe.

Now of course many electricians go over to the US illegally and get on fine, but I'm not going to discuss the one and outs of that here.

Slim pickings then by the sounds of it. I will look into it in greater detail myself at some point but just wanted to throw it out there first.
