    Hi,

Looking for ballpark figure to break up a driveway and put down modern gravel and possibly 10/12 small paving slabs to compliment it. The type seen in front modern gardens? Dublin based.

    Apologies iftgis is incorrect section

    Thank you

A lot depends on the area involved. You really can't avoid getting quotes. If it is only a small area I would strongly suggest you go the extra bit and put down pavers or similar. Gravel can be a nightmare to maintain and is a bit pointless in a small area where a car will drive into the exact same spot each time.

One of the biggest parts of the cost is removing the old concrete/soil and, indeed, repairing any services pipes that they hit with the kangos.
Ask exactly what they will be doing - you will need compacted hard core and membrane as a very minimum.
