I can think of two instances from when I was about twelve.
One was when my father had to collect me from school. It was generally my mother but she couldn't do it. He'd have collected me about 10 times during my time at school.
It was arranged that he'd collect me and if he didn't I'd go somewhere else if he was late. I headed off with my friend and a teacher from the school eventually found me.
My father had told the teachers, priest, principal, etc I was missing and he had no idea where I was. I then got quizzed by the principal about our set up at home and had we any issues. He then went home and told my mother nothing happened any everything was fine.
A few weeks late we had a talk with the Gardai about drugs and nurse discussed sex with us. A parent had to attend. He insisted on going.Prior to this he never attended a play, parent teacher meeting, etc.He sat at the back of the room and spent the night making smart comments. It was mortifying.Mainly because other people's parents looked at me and gave me that look I feel sorry for you.

Growing up in a nudist colony, they made me wear clothes everywhere. Pure scarlet till I jumped the fence and escaped in my 20's.

Is the nurse the common denominator in these two scenarios OP?

From a Family of 3 x Boys... all aged 2 yrs apart.

When my mother saw a Sales in Dunnes.... if she saw a Shirt going cheap-she'd buy 3 of them in various sizes!! People used to think we were Triplets ...

When I was 12/13/14.... its was dead embarrassing when I was trying to be cool with the girls!!!
