What to buy?

I hate cars and car shopping. Its a necessary evil and have to bite the bullet on getting something new.

Looking at a diesel around 1.6 liter. Has to to be 4\5 door, a big boot and have isofix. Have between 5k & 10k.

Can someone please help me out and narrow down my search?

Octavia. Get the 2.0 instead of the 1.6. Tax is still cheap and fuel economy good.

You’d probably get 2014 for your top end budget.

As already mentioned the Octavia would have a fairly large boot but the 2.0 TDi would be a lot nicer than the 1.6 TDi.

Another option might be a Renault Grand Megane estate, they are a good car and the estate would have a bigger boot than the hatchback. You would probably pick up a newer/fresher example than a similarly price Octavia.

With some hard haggling you might get this example for close to your top budget:

Always liked the Focus saloon. It's a really nice drive and when well specced its a nice comfortable place to be. This is probably an import but on a straight sale should be well under the max budget
