    Hi All,

We're installing a new home alarm and we've narrowed it down to two suppliers.

One is offering a HikVision system with alarm panel, siren, 1 X PIR and a total of 8 sensors.

The second is offering HKC 10270 with the same number of features.

The first option is slightly cheaper at time of installation but they have an annual fee from year 2 onwards of €165, to include a call out/check and the subscription for the app.
The second supplier offers an app that costs €65 P.A. and €8 to download it with no other call outs.

Question we have , is there a difference in quality from HikVision and the HK 10270?

    Thanks,
    Stephen.

The app is only €5 per month running cost. That is all HKC charge.

Hikvision is not an actual alarm system, they own an Intruder alarm manufacturer called Pyronix.

Hikvision are market leaders in CCTV.

I would not look beyond HKC, tried and has stood the test of time.
