I'm on the hunt for a 54cm frameset again.

Not too expensive .. 100 to 350e ideally.

    Steel, alloy or carbon.

    Thanks

Might not suit you but Planet X have a lot of frames on serious sale at the moment.

Thanks. Saw them alright... I would love the steel frame Holdsworth but not sure if I want to pay 500!

Is the size 54, horizontal measurement?

Yes I think so anyway? Top tube effective horizontal length or something like that? I'm just under 5ft 10in so a medium I think in most frames.

This is size L only but the size guide looks like it is a 54 and for 5′9″ to 5′11″

I've noticed similar on a few Planet X size guides, not sure if anyone has real experience of them? I'm just about 5'11" but I've never needed an L in any brand and when I've tried a few they've been too big

Effective Top tube is 57.5 on that though so more like a 58, I see it recommends though for 5-9 to 5-11 human being!

    I've one in L and I'm 5' 11"
They are bang on with the sizing, mine is 10 years old this year and still perfect, a great frame

    Thanks

I still think it would be a touch big for me... I want to get it as close to my race bike as possible!

    Hi Frosty,

I have a Sensa Toscana carbon frame, I think it's a 54cm frame. I have just stripped it down as I am putting the groupset and wheels on a different frame. I'm 177cm tall, perfect fit for me. Hopefully this link will work.

    Hi,
I have vintage-probably from 90s-Reynolds 531Competition frame size c-c 54x54cm,very few marks on it-nearly NOS,was built up as full bike but little used,it is branded Paul Milnes but as far as I know he did not make steel frames, fitted with some old Campagnolo Record headset, seatpost size 27.2mm,bb-English thread, rear spacing-130mm..

I have a 54cm carbon Felt F5 with Ultegra I could let go for 350 if that would suit?

Any use? Or a bit big for you? I'm 5'10" and rode one comfortably with a 110 stem. I'll let it off for €130 if interested
