my son has a chance of doing an agri mechanic apprenticeship and im just wondering has anyone managed to agree wage other than the €195 suggested by Solas? He will have a commute of 30 minutes to work 5 days a week (40 hours) for €4.87 per hour just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this and is the wage increased over time ???

If it's what he wants to do, then it does not matter what the apprenticeship wage is, he will survive like most others do. Of course the wages will increase a bit over time, but the most important thing is that he ends up qualified to do something he loves.
