    Need a backup phone , deciding between these as both within budget. Which is better speed wise. Dont care about camera or other features, it's performance that matters.

    Both phone CPUs are very similar and both are on Android 9, but I'd go for the G6 over the G7 Play because it has a higher resolution screen and more RAM.

    Personally I'd prefer a the 6xx CPU but I'd not buy a 2gb ram phone today. Even as a backup.

    Theres better bang for buck in the Chinese phones Redmi etc.

    The power on/off button on the G6 is incredibly stiff you need to really give it a press to get going.
