Dimplex Fuse Spur Problem

Hi All, we have a Dimplex SP16 - LED fire mounted on our wall in our living room and it recently stopped working. We changed the fuse in spur as we thought it might have blown but it is still not working.

The fuse light flickers for a split second and then goes off when replacing the fuse (using a 13 amp fuse).

Any ideas on what could be wrong before we call in a professional?!

    Thanks

The fuses are doing exactly what they should.

Whatever problem caused the first fuse to blow is still there and is causing the replacements to blow.

There seems to be a short from live to neutral or live to earth in the unit. You might need to ring Dimplex.

You could call an electrician and see if the short is before the unit.

The only spare part I see available is the PCB which may be blown.

Are you sure you used a 13A fuse as a replacement?

Are you sure the fuse in the spur unit is blown - possibly you have a way to confirm that the fuse in the spur unit is , indeed, blown.
