    Hi all,

We are looking at replacing an old oil boiler for something a bit better, we have an E1 BER, planning on insulating the attic properly and pumping the wall with beads where possible.

Would the best option for the time being be to upgrade to a new oil boiler? We dont have the money to do a massive overhaul but would like to spend a bit to get it to an adequate stage

Before changing your boiler...insulate, insulate, insulate...and any money left...insulate!

No point fitting a better efficient boiler, if the house leaks heat like a sieve.

Yes, after insulating upgrade the controls. There’s also a 700 grant. If you’ve change left then stick in a new boiler
